The Tesla Model 3 is often seen as a game changer in the automotive industry. It battles the BMW 3 Series and offers at least 240 miles of range on electric power. And while prices can climb easily, it starts at well under $40,000 before tax credits. Although it took a while to arrive to market, today the Model 3 is the most popular sports sedan, with more than 10,000 deliveries in the month of April.

The incentive is not listed on the Acura.com consumer website, but research by MotorTrend affiliate IntelliChoice into JATO Dynamics data uncovered the secret incentive on the exotic hybrid, which starts at $159,300. And it’s not going away any time soon, as JATO says the incentive has been booked through March 31, 2020.
Although Acura updated the 2019 NSX to our liking, sales of the NSX had been slowing. In 2018, Acura sold only 170 units, compared to a still-modest 581 in 2017 and 269 in an abbreviated 2016. So far, the incentive appears to be working; much of the NSX’s 42 percent year-to-date sales increase came after the incentive was quietly launched in mid-March.

Between my daily 45-minute commute and pulling support and transportation duties on out-of-town photo and video shoots, we have been putting some miles on the Atlas. With 11,087 miles on the odometer, it was finally time to visit our local Volkswagen dealership to get the oil changed. In addition to changing the oil, they completed a software update and inspected the seatbelt latches as part of a recall. The latches must have appeared fine, as no update to them was needed at this time. With parts and labor, our final bill came to $80.40.
