Off-road SUVs are having something of a moment. Put another way, the Jeep Wrangler is getting some direct competition for the first time in years from the upcoming Ford Bronco, and automakers are rushing to add capability to crossovers and SUVs of all sizes and prices. Even so, there are some holes in the playing field: Toyota long ago killed off its retro-flavored FJ Cruiser, as did Nissan its burly Xterra 4×4. And as of now, neither Japanese SUV is due for a comeback, even though Nissan just unveiled a thoroughly modernized Frontier pickup—the same pickup that shared components with the old Xterra. That got us thinking …

If Nissan were about to reveal a new Xterra today, what might it look like? We turned to our speculative artist wizard, Abimilec Arellano, for a rendering of the 2022 Nissan Xterra that does not, and likely will not, ever exist.

Goodness, it must be tough out there for new Ferrari F8 buyers who risk blending in with the many McLarens and Lamborghinis when cruising the strip. Or worse, getting shown-up by the hotter F8 variant that’s surely just over the horizon. Fret not, you immodest moguls, because the supercar tuner extraordinaire that is 1016 Industries just dropped a new 3D-printed carbon-fiber aero kit for the Ferrari F8 Tributo, giving you the chance to stand out one of your many loud-and-proud supercar rallies.

As far as body kits go, 1016’s F8 set is fairly comprehensive. At the front, a set of more aggressive hood vents and headlamp inserts complement a front aero lip and bumper inserts. According to 1016, these parts are functional and are effective at redirecting airflow toward the engine or other aerodynamic trim.

Carbon-fiber side skirts run the length of the car, feeding air to a redesigned rear diffuser and set of J-vents [...]

Rocket League is one of the more entertaining video games to have launched in the last decade. If you aren’t familiar with the game, it’s essentially soccer but with cars that can jump, fly around, backflip, and do all sorts of other crazy nonsense. It’s chaotic, hilarious fun and—hot on the heels of the release of the new Raptor—now Ford has announced it will be adding an F-150 to the game.

Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League, has added real cars to the game before—namely the McLaren 570S and the R34 Nissan GT-R—but the F-150 is definitely one of its more interesting additions. The F-150 looks like a Raptor-spec truck, but with exhausts that come out of the tailgate, a Raptor-style grille, crazy wheels (which you can, of course, swap out for whatever suits your fancy), and a little “Built Ford Tough” plaque resting in the bed. It’s about a cute as an aggressively [...]

A catalogue of hundreds of Ford Bronco accessories recently leaked its way onto the internet courtesy of a Bronco enthusiast forum. Now, news of accessory packs for the smaller Bronco Sport have made its way onto the web, too—but this time the announcement comes from Ford itself, all official-like. The five new Ford-dealer-installed Bronco Sport accessory packs to make heading off the beaten path, storing stuff, or looking cool more convenient.

Okay, so the accessories for maximizing storage space and livability aren’t cool in the same sense as, say, stuff designed to bolster the Bronco Sport’s off-road prowess. That said, organization gets some folks going, and these Ford accessories are here for those people. There is the “Bike” accessory pack that’s for, well, Bronco Sport owners’ bikes. The package comes with a Yakima trailer-hitch-mounted bike rack, roof rail cross bars, and a roof basket by Yakima. It also comes with all-weather floor mats from Ford, [...]

Although limited-run special editions and paint-to-sample highly bespoke order sheets for supercars are relatively recent trends, there are still a handful of whacky custom-ordered classic supercars that occasionally resurface on the collector car market. While it seems most Countaches and Testarossas were bought on-spec from dealers, there’s the occasional personalized outlier—such as a white Countach with legit gold-plated accents—that makes its bog-standard siblings appear so … ordinary.

Custom-ordered De Tomaso Panteras? Not so much. Though the Italian-American hybrid supercar was ordered in relatively great numbers for the era, with around 7,260 produced, we can’t recall ever seeing a factory special Pantera—until now. At French auction house Artcurial’s recent Parisienne sale, a strikingly personalized 1975 De Tomaso Pantera failed to sell but won our hearts with its swoopy bodywork and period-perfect white-over-white accents.

According to Artcurial, a Greek entrepreneur, talent promoter, and [...]
