Supercars—and hypercars by extension—are selfish cars. Even if you don’t need to haul around much more than a Birkin bag, the mass majority of these rolling carbon-fiber sculptures only seat two lucky passengers at any time. Pity the billionaires who have to take the Rolls or Bentley for a family dinner at the local Michelin-starred joint.

Well, this was the case right up until Koenigsegg dropped the four-seat Gemera hypercar onto the unsuspecting world. Along with the new special-edition Jesko Absolut, the Gemera is the latest and greatest from the Swedish hypercar manufacturer initially planned for a debut at the now-cancelled Geneva auto show. In keeping with Koenigsegg’s raison d’être, its newest “mega car” is a tour de force of monumental power, otherworldly performance, and bleeding-edge tech.

Billed as the first “Mega-GT,” the Gemera earns that Koenigsegg family crest on its snout with a tremendous 1,677 hp and a pavement-folding 2,581 lb-ft of torque. Unlike [...]

Last year, Dodge introduced its “Power Dollars” program as a way to get enthusiasts to spend some money on one of its more muscular Challenger or Charger models. The deal was that if you bought a high-horsepower Challenger—a Hellcat for example—you’d get $10 off for every pony its V-8 produced. According to Dodge, the company put more than 33 million horsepower on the road in the second half of 2019 alone. And it’s safe to say the company’s Power Dollars program had something to do with it. In fact, the program was so successful that Dodge is bringing it back for 2020.

Starting March 3, Dodge will reopen its Power Dollar deal. But this time around the sweet deal includes every Charger and Challenger trim. The details of the promotion are exactly the same as last year, and buyers will still get a $10 cash allowance for every horsepower their desired Charger or Challenger has [...]

If you’re in the market for a large, three-row SUV for your family, you’re spoiled for choice. Ignoring luxury options from the likes of Tesla or Volvo, mainstream automakers alone offer up more than a dozen different options to choose from, ranging from the Buick Enclave to the Volkswagen Atlas. To alleviate your analysis paralysis, we gathered up two of our favorite three-row SUVs, the 2020 Honda Pilot Black Edition AWD and the 2020 Subaru Ascent Touring, to help you decide which is the better buy for you and your family’s needs.

Subaru Ascent vs. Honda Pilot: How Do They Compare on Paper?

Both the Honda Pilot and Subaru Ascent fill similar needs, offering three rows, seven seats, and all-wheel drive, even if the approach to design and engineering are wildly different. The Honda, the older of the two vehicles (it debuted back in 2016), is the more traditional option. Built on a bespoke SUV [...]

It’s long been known that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plans to move the ancient Dodge Grand Caravan minivan to the back burner, and let the van fade into the sunset and leave the Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager as the group’s only minivan options. Well, vanatics, that day is here. Will the Dodge Grand Caravan live to see the 2021 model year? Nope. The model is officially being discontinued, with production phasing out by May at the Windsor, Canada assembly plant that builds it.

Goodbye, Boxy Blandness

The news comes courtesy of the union representing workers at FCA’s Windsor facility, where 1500 workers will be affected by the Grand Caravan’s departure. (FCA confirmed to us that the Dodge Grand Caravan is being discontinued and production is winding down.) With the Dodge van out of the picture, FCA will rely on the recently created Chrysler Voyager, which is essentially a low-spec Pacifica sold at an attractive discount, as [...]

The annual Geneva auto show, also known as the Geneva International Motor Show or GIMS, has been canceled for 2020 after the Swiss government has enacted a temporary ban on gatherings of more than 1,000 people. The ban comes as journalists and automaker executives from around the globe prepared to travel to Switzerland for the event, which will not be rescheduled.

Governments continue their attempts to slow the spread of the coronavirus strain known as COVID-19. The genesis of the current outbreak has been traced to Wuhan, China, while cases have been subsequently diagnosed in the United States, other Asian countries, and Europe, including Switzerland. In addition, a small concentration of the disease has appeared in northern Italy, the border of which is only an hour’s drive from Geneva. The major Italian cities of Turin and Milan are roughly 150 and 200 miles away, respectively.

Many automakers had already decided to cancel—or were on the [...]
